Made by Lichtenknecker Optics in Hasselt (here in Belgium). A very sturdy and precise mount, comes with the MTS-3 electronics from German company Boxd\u00f6rfer<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On top sits a dovetail-mount<\/strong> for the large Lichtenknecker-dovetails (we can include a few of these) – but one can easily replace it with the more common Losmandy-style fitting (I’ve done this myself on a similar mount here at the observatory).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Included are two robust metal telescope piers<\/strong>: one high (130cm) and one lower (95 cm). But if needed one can also purchase an extra heavy-duty wooden tripod (300 euros??), that can be extented from 115cm all the way up to 165cm (perfect for those lovers of classical long refractors!).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The mount with the lower (95cm) pier. Please notice how the (heavy!!) mount can be separated in 2 parts (actually 3, if one counts the counter-weight-bar) by loosening 2 bolts => the RA-base and the upper Declination-part.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
